The Face Of The Anti-Israel BDS Campaign

There’s a broad discussion underway in Israel on the matter of the international protests against this country and the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign. In the Israeli media there have been endless arguments criticizing the campaign and analyzing it, and innumerable interviews with experts on the subject.
I wanted to do something a little different.
Frank van der Linde is one of the heads of the anti-Israel campaign in the Netherlands, a country generally thought to be pro-Israel.

What he says is one-sided, sometimes half-true, and not easy on Israeli ears, even infuriating. Nevertheless, whoever wishes to understand why the BDS and the anti-Israel campaign is gaining momentum should read what he has to say and understand just how different his profile is from the way Israel tries to portray its critics: He is not a Muslim and he has nothing to do with Muslims. He is not the son of anti-Semitic family. He has spent a long time in Israel and has dozens of friends here, and he has no funding from, or any connection with Arab or Iranian elements. van der Linde really believes in what he is doing, and he is willing to sacrifice quite a lot for it.
